Reverend Sandra Casey-Martus is the rector of All Saint's Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Before her current position she served as associate rector of All Saint's Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas (2005-2009) and as vicar of St. Francis of the Tetons Episcopal Church in Wyoming (1994-2005). In Wyoming, she also served as the director of the Alta Retreat Center.
Sandy is an adjunct faculty member of the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. In 2005 she was awarded the Hal Brook Perry Award for Outstanding Ministry and Service from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. Her article, "Centering Prayer and Priestly Formation" appeared in Continuum Press's Centering Prayer in Daily Life and Ministry, 1998. Sandy holds a BS and MEd from Springfield College, an MTS from Oblate School of Theology, and at CITS from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest.
Sandy is the co-founder of Contemplative Invitation Teaching, and has studied various forms of contemplative prayer for over thirty years. Presently, with her priestly service, she writes, travels, teaches the Christ-Centered Prayer practice, and leads Christian contemplative prayer retreats.
Teacher and spiritual guide Carla R. Mancari had her first transcendent experience in 1973 while visiting a shrine in Lourdes, France. Working at the time as a counselor, she immediately resigned and began a spiritual quest. Carla traveled all over the world studying with Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu masters.
Carla's spiritual truth seeking ultimately brought her into an ongoing, intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She has taught Christ Centered Spiritual Principles and silent prayer for over thirty years.
Carla is the author of Walking on the Grass: A White Woman in a Black World. She is co-founder of the Contemplative Invitation Teaching. Carla holds a BA from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, and an MEd from South Carolina State University. Carla was a certified counseling psychologist
